Bal & Prab from Auckland Wide Movers helped me move today. I want to thank both of them for such a seamless move and they kept in contact..... the pick-up time was changes due to the weather and I was kept totally informed at all times about what was happening and what time things were going to happen. They were both very respectful and most helpful. It was not an easy move but they were friendly and helpful at all times. I was very impressed as were those who were helping to move me. We want to say a very big thankyou to you both and would recommend these two movers,,,, they were great. Thankyou for helping a difficult day run smoothly.

I had the worst experience with Auckland wide Movers

I booked a 40 cubic m truck and two guys got a quote saying rate was $125 per hour, I booked and confirmed the day before that the truck would arrive between 8-9am I booked cleaners and carpet cleaners at 10.30 am through other companies.

The day of moving I called the company at 9,,15 am as truck had not shown they said it would by 10 am at 10 30 I rang and they said the truck could not make it but a 20 cubic m truck could be there by 12, This was moving day I had zero option but to agree, the truck turns up at 12 and they slowly move my things. I had prepped everything and had moved all contents to garage and front room for ease of moving. They went as slow as possible as they were on a hourly rate and what should have been a 2 hour job loading and unloading stretch out to 4 hours, they wanted me to buy them pizza for lunch and flatly refused to move most of my things. I was in a situation where I told them to move the heavy items and bigger items that could not fit in my car and while they slowly loaded did about 20 trips in my car with boxes of household items

I was moving less than 5 minutes drive away. When it came time to unload my the second load they started calculating the bill. $1100 after quoting me $350 and not turning up on time and then turning up with a truck half the size i needed and taking twice as long and going slow not to mention refusing to take most of my things. I told them to call their manager and he explained there were "extra: charges this included an extra $35 for anything heavy per item an extra $35 per items going up stairs and extra $35 per item being carried away from the truck. He said all were explained in terms and conditions on their website (but they aren't) he could not get the bill over $700

I asked him why the bill was $1100 when he couldn't itemize and he couldn't explain. Remember my things are still in their truck and they threatened to drive away. I agreed to pay the $700 (what choice did I have).

My only recourse is to take them to small claims court which simply isn't worth the ball ache.

This company has fake ratings posted on their website from Facebook and Google (they are not registered with google) DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY and again it is not (Auckland based removals they are legit) it is Auckland wide movers that in my opinion are acting in a misleading way.

We recently moved items from a 3-bedroom house into our new one, which is only 10 minutes away. It took the movers 7 hours to complete this move. The truck that they brought was too small so did not fit all of our items in. We had already significantly decluttered our home to host open homes. Despite this, our fridge, wine fridge, washing machine, dryer, study room desk, all items that had been in the kitchen cupboards and our clothes could not be transported. The movers were so slow- sometimes carrying one pillow out at a time. They were so inefficient that I was unwilling to pay them to make the second trip back to my house to pick up the remaining items- I cannot fathom how long this would have taken. The movers said they could not move items up the stairs in my new house because they were too heavy- my husband and brother could lift these items without issue. We paid $1200 for an incomplete, unsatisfactory move. For reference- we moved a 3 bedroom house from the Coromandel 1 year ago and this took 9 hours, with a 5 hour return drive between the two houses. This cost only marginally more than Auckland Wide Movers.

I have emailed this company several times, and they ignore it. They have chosen their name deliberately to sound like other more reputable moving companies in Auckland. They are not registered with Google and are an absolute scam. Avoid them- they will make moving house 100x more stressful.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! If I could give a zero star review, I would. Sounds like I've had a similar experience to the previous reviewer and there is no way to leave a legitimate review so posting here and hoping people see it.

As they also stated, this is not Auckland Wide Removals who responded to me quickly to point this out.

The first red flag was the night before the move when they called to say that for a house the size of ours, we would need three guys not the two they'd quoted for which, of course, would cost more money. We agreed and it was just as well we did as the team they sent were incredibly slow, unprofessional and disorganised.

They told us that one piece of a sectional couch upstairs couldn't be moved out as it was too big (clearly it fit going into the room?) I suggested removing the door and the feet but they refused. My petite 20 year old daughter then removed the door and the feet and got it through the doorway on her own.

Everything was colour coded as it was being delivered to two different storage lockers in the same facility, I explained this in detail as it would make sense to load the truck to make the unload easier. Completely ignored me on this as well as basically just throwing all the small stuff in the units and blocking it in with the big items at the front.

The biggest issue though is the amount of damage they did to our plaster and paintwork. The reason for this according to one of the movers was that 'it was congested' (meaning that we had hallways and stairs). All our furniture was delivered into the house with no damage so this is a ridiculous excuse. We took photos of the gouges in the walls, called them on the day and were told to email them through and it would be dealt with. We did this and have since followed up with four emails to ask for compensation for the urgent repair work we had to arrange as the house was being sold on the day of the move. It has now been a month since the move and we have had no replies to the emails.

Emails were sent to the same email address as the quote was delivered from so they are clearly receiving messages but ignoring them.

I'm obviously not going to be compensated for the costs incurred to repair the damage they caused so all I can do now is warn others. Couple of photos attached but this is not all the damage they caused.

BIG SCAM. DON'T USE THEM. They don't tell you about a traveling fee of 1 hour to your place and 1 hour back to the warehouse. The keep your last furniture in the truck and if you don't pay them they said they will leave with you stuff. Apparently it is in the fine print of the contract, but still they could have informed about this when I phoned for a quote. The 2 x guys knows about this sop when they start finishing just laugh at you cause they know what's coming. The also waste time to travel to the next stop. I drove same time as them, and everyone must drive the same speed, I waited 15 minutes for them to arrive after me. The all of a sudden the driver struggles to reverse straight in a driveway. Another 10 minutes just to reverse in. A quick move of 3 hours quoted changed to over 5 hours with their added travel times to and from you.

STAY AWAY FROM THEM, THANK ME LATER.
